Post-doctoral Associate in Tumor Immunology:
The Ishizuka Lab at Yale Cancer Center seeks creative and driven scientists to lead projects within the Lab. The candidate should have a strong background in biology, with a strong interest in immunology and / or cancer biology research. Experience with in vivo immunotherapy models, functional genomics and the use of CRISPR, mRNA vaccines, protein engineering, systems immunology, and tumor microenvironment profiling by scRNAseq / flow cytometry are preferred. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and organized, will possess excellent experimental planning and execution skills, good communications skills, an open mind and a desire to collaborate with others. You will lead independent research projects, report progress and track deliverables, work to develop new approaches and ways of thinking about the field of tumor immunology, contribute to the lab through teamwork and discussion and help to train, supervise and mentor junior staff as needed. You will be co-supervised by Dr. Ishizuka and Dr. Kelly Olino. Minimum qualifications include:
· PhD in a relevant field (biology, immunology, cancer biology or similar)
· Demonstrated scientific contributions to the field
· Proven ability to solve challenging technical problems
· Clarity of thought in communications (written and oral)
